Halloween Events near Street, Glastonbury and Somerset!



It’s that time of year again, when days are getting shorter and there’s a chill in the air. So, as we approach Halloween, what is there around the local area to occupy the little monsters?!


Halloween Spooktacular – Wells - Sat 29th October 2022 - 10am – 4pm

Come and join in for some spooktacular fun with some of the best local crafters, makers, artists, bakers and more showcasing their products!


Halloween at the Station- Somerset & Dorset Railway - Midsomer Norton Station- 29th Oct – 30th Oct 2022

Visit the Railway for an atmospheric Halloween Steam Train ride at Midsomer Norton on the 29th and 30th October – accompanied children aged 16 and under in Halloween costume travel free!

We recommend that you book a train ticket for the services in advance to ensure that you do not miss out – however, it is also possible to turn up on the day and buy a ticket.

A Halloween Tale at Cheddar Gorge and Caves - Wednesday October 23 to Sunday November 3

This Halloween sees The Natural Theatre Company take over Gough's cave with some "strange happenings" going on underground. Your little detectives will help to crack clues as they come across "infamous literary characters" such as Dracula, Frakenstein's monster and Bill Sikes.

The event runs from Wednesday (October 23) to Sunday (November 3) with the actors performing between 11am and 3:30pm. The Halloween Tale is included in the usual day ticket so you are able to visit the other attractions around the gorge too. The Cheddar Gorge website says: "While we have made every effort to ensure this event can be enjoyed by all ages, please note there will be live actors in the cave which very young children may find frightening."


Halloween at Wookey Hole – Various dates & Times

Dubbed as the "home of Halloween" on the Wookey Hole website, the site in Wells promises spooky fun throughout the half term. Visitors will see costume characters including the Witch of Wookey Hole, though with a free gift included, it sounds like the witch could be more sweet than scary.

Other activities include the spooky cave tour, Halloween circus show and a 4D cinema showing Ice Age "Dawn of the Dinosaurs". The opening times until Thursday, October 31 are between 10am until 5pm and 10am until 4pm after that.

On Saturday, October 26 Wookey Hole will also host their Halloween Party, with live entertainment, access to the Play Barns and a two course hog roast dinner. For the Halloween Party doors open at 5:30pm.


Farrington Pumpkin Festival

It’s time to dust off your wellies ready for the annual Pumpkin Picking Festival at Farrington's Farm, the biggest pumpkin patch near Bristol and Bath!

Farmer Ross planted thousands of pumpkin seeds back in the spring and the pumpkin patch is now covered in pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colours, ready for you to pick your own.

This event is advance tickets only. Tickets are £2.50 per person, under 2s are free. This includes entrance to the Pumpkin Patch, displays, entrance to the carving space and parking.

Please note that a ticket does NOT include a pumpkin. You can purchase as many pumpkins as you like on the day.


Frogmary Green Farm Pumpkin Patch

Come and visit our Pumpkin Patch at Frogmary Green Farm and pick your own for Halloween!

Opening Wednesday the 19th till Sun 30th. The patch is open Wednesday to Sundays only and opens from 9am until 4.30pm. Entry to the patch is free and you’ll only pay if you pick any pumpkins.

Pumpkin prices: Small – £2 Medium – £3 Large – £5.



Puxton Park – Halloween Half Term

Come and visit the park during October Half Term for a fun week including all the normal park rides and activities plus:

· Children's disco

· Magic & comedy shows

· Pumpkin Picking
